Hi all, little help needed if possible.
Last week I used PSPVideo 9 to convert an avi file into a PSP video, watched
it on the PSP and all was good (Sony 1GB Stick)
This week I got next episode of said avi series, repeated and loaded onto my
new 2GB Sandisk stick. When I turned the PSP on it said the file format was
unsupported despite being mpeg 4, same as the one that worked last week. I
had already formatted the card and placed the file in the VIDEO folder so
wondered if I'd done anything glaringly obvious, or if maybe the card was to
blame
Any advice much appreciated

Are you 100% certain it's an official Sandisk card?

One of the most reliable methods to verify the genuineness of a MS Pro
Duo is MagicGate, IMHO. If it shows 'Unsupported' in the PSP Menu, it
is a fake.
And to the original poster: Not all mp4 files work on the PSP. Google
for more info on this.

The strange thing is, according to a Google search my 2GB Sony MS Pro
Duo (bought from eBay) is a fake. It has all the hallmarks - the rear
label is stuck on, the serial number matches those used on fakes, and so
forth.
But it works. I've had it for over a year now, and it's been filled and
emptied to its quoted capacity several times. No lost data, no
corruption, nothing.
Perhaps I was just lucky.

well no, but if he's used the same settings as a previous file, there
shouldnt be a problem.

You were indeed.
I know of two people who have bought fakes - one worked perfectly so it was
a third party device of teh correct capacity , just branded to look more
expensive.
The other was a 1GB SD card that wouldn't hold more than about 100mb before
causing problems - a lower capacity card bodged to mis-report it's size

Probably. But as I haven't /used/ the PSP in about a year, except to
flash to the latest firmware, I wouldn't notice.
My PSP usage tends to go:
Ohh, a new firmware is out. I'll upgrade. Wait, the battery is dead.
I'll recharge, then upgrade. Ooh, how lovely. Hmm. Where's my DS?
