So, got the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player and might pick up the odd exclusive.

As I have all three consoles now, I'm deffo not a fanboy!

First thoughts?

PS3 is nice size, quieter than the 360 (A LOT QUIETER!), and the menu setup
actually appears a bit nicer than the 360.

LOVE the VidStore (or whatever it's called) - numerous music videos
available at the touch of a button and some old classics on there from when
I was younger!

The Blu-Ray playback is so far faultless in comparison to that Sony Blu-Ray
player I sent back.

Playstation Home appears to be probably the most hollow and pointless idea
ever - my mate advises me that his wife goes on and 'flirts' with Italians
and then "does the robot" until they all get bored and go away!

The Playstation Store doesn't seem as access friendly from the front end as
the 360.

Friends List seems easier on the 360.

So overall, PS3 compared to 360 - both have their good points and bad
points, and I'm glad to have both.

Wii?

Haven't used it for at least 4 months, but the Mrs won't let me get rid of
it as she will eventually use the Wii Fit apparently!

This annoyed me too, but it has been fixed in the latest update.

Yes it does! So nice to be the bearer of so much good news! Wink

I thought the original PS3 was quiter than the 360. Smile

It's okay but waiting for Sony to bring out the movie/tv version of it as
well.

Aye, it's about on par with my dvd player for loading up a disc. And the
good thing for now that there's hardly any adverts. (However I feel that
once bluray really takes off it'll go the same way with unskippable adverts
that dvd has now.)

Not installed it, rather not want to waste HDD space with that, Home eats it
up quite a fair bit.

Not seen the 360 store in action.

I'll probably use it when the new mario games comes out later this year.
But been thinking on getting rid of mine myself lately.

Does VidZone now support the Bluetooth remote? Last time I tried it I
needed to use a controller because it required the analogue stick - a
pain, because neither of my controllers ever have any charge.
