I just started and stopped playing Obscure on a PC.

Just after starting the game, I felt bad: the mouse didn't work.
"Hey mr. game developper! We're in 2006. Every PC has a mouse. Windows
programs use the mouse to point and click at things"
Now I have to move around using clumsy keyboard hits, having to press keys
simulaneous for targetting, firing and moving.
Also the movements are relative to the screen, and as the angle may change
when you're moving, running in a straight line may involve multiple key
presses. Terrible.

Then the gamesaving mechanism: Never have I encountered such a stupid
mechanism.
After playing for half an hour I got killed during the 1st encounter with a
monster.
( why I got killed? Perhaps the clumsy controls?)
Instead of restarting, I played a little further on and only then was able
to save the game ... once.
"Hey mr. game developper! We're in 2006. Every PC has a harddisk with enough
room for thousands of gamesaves."
Then I quit. The combination of poor controls and inability to save the game
is deadly for (clumsy) me.

This game must be a shameless port of some console game.
I can't think of any other reason for these design decisions.

Luckily I only paid ?5 for the game, but even that was a waste of money.

The graphics are OK, the sound is OK, the setting is OK, so it might be a
fine game... if it were playable.

Looks like

Try Condemned from Monolith the creators of FEAR.
Condemned uses the same engine as FEAR but it has a total
different gameplay, its a horror/survival game played in
first person perspective.
For me a masterpiece and still what I consider the best
game of 2006.

No, he paid 5 "?s" for it, which is a lot cheaper than 5 "!s" I can tell
you.

Hmm, it seems the euro sign isn't transferred correctly.
Or is it a typo, as in my sent items it also shows a ?.
Try again ?5 ( five Euro)
And again, ? ? ? ( 3 euro signs)

Cheers,
Hans

Seems transfer problem.
Now I've set the send option to HTML in stead of plain text.
? 5,- ( 5 Euro )
