Here's the one I love -- "Brand new, still sealed -- Tested and
working!" or "NISB, I only opened it up to make sure all the parts
were there!" The latter I can understand a little bit-- even though
you should be able to trust a sealed box, there are too many
shrinkwrap machines out there. That said, by breaking the seal,
you've downgraded from NISB to CIB. Sorry, but there's no two ways
about it. The seal is either a virgin or it ain't. And the first
statement is just stupid-- they're either lying about the game being
new, or they're lying about testing it.
Newgroup auctions are no longer viable. It's sad but true. eBay has
become the Wal-Mart of the internet-- far too draconian for its own
good, but still remains the logical choice if you really want
something. Personally, I say put your stuff up on
ChaseTheChuckWagon. That site is starting to really pick up steam.
