Neverwinter 2: Game won't start. Suggestion?

I had a terrible time reinstalling the game after a disk failure, but what
worked for me after a failed install was to uninstall and make sure all
references to the game were removed from the registry. Then, try again. I
think Rob McGinnis recommendation at the forum on a fresh install was to
install the OC, MOTB and Storm of Zehir and then apply the patches. Some
people were never able to get the automatic patching system to work properly
anad there's a fix for that too. Hateful, I know, but it was the only way I
could get it to work. I would just make sure all references to the game are
out of the registry. If you don't want to manually edit the registry
manually CCleaner may help you.

Did you try to run NWN2 OC w/o the patches or SOZ on your first attempt?
Did it work?

You might want to go to the forum...there are pages and pages of issues with
installs/reinstalls,CTD's and Securom problems, problems with disk editing
tools etc., etc., and the list goes on.
