NWS: Supremacy at Sea - WW2

a) Our first batch is now in our warehouse and will start shipping on
January 1, 2009. CD in DVD case with all documentation in PDF format
with full in-game help dialogs.

b) Players can now download demo, manual, and tutorial PDF packs here;
http://forums.navalwarfare.org/showthread.php?t=4

c) Please send all inquiries and questions to nws-online@nws-
online.net or post them on our forums where Tony, the coder of SAS-
WW2, is answering questions in detail.

Item (c) is due to our very limited available time and to try and help
keep up efficient communications with interested players. Trying to
track multiple forums and threads is unfortunately not feasible for
us.

Thank you for your interest.

Ah, ok - will be looking for the full game to arrive early January
then. Hope I don't get slammed by customs again like what happened
with War Plan Pacific today. 10 euros extra on top of the 21% VAT -
legal robbery - I'd gladly pay the extra 20 euros straight to the
developer given the choice.

It just ain't my day - got a 60 euro ticket for "speeding" at a death-
defying 41 km/h in a 30 zone as well.

To the cop who thought catching people like that in a school zone on a
school holiday was fun : the day they make me Emperor of the Universe
you're the new police chief of Ice Station Zebra. And I mean that.

Different scales ... - the game which will cream DG and Jutland is
Warship Combat : Navies at War 1890-1950.

2D planning map, 3D battles, link-in with SAS ...

Me too. I'm in a Pacific War mood Smile

IIRC it's patches only available through the forum for which you have
to register or something like that

Welcome to Belgium where robbers get a probabation or community
service but Zeus have mercy on your black soul if you put your trash
can out an hour before it's allowed.

Belgium is broke and they're at a point where they'll try *anything*
for extra income. Got a bottle of champagne ready for when it finally
disintegrates.

In case someone doubts all of this : I'll scan in a copy of the ticket
and send it to all who ask for it.

You're not the only one - a simple compare of the number of "views" of
this game's forum :

http://forums.navalwarfare.org/forumdisplay.php?f=6

versus the Jutland one :

http://forums.gamesquad.com/forumdisplay.php?f=245

also tells a story of naval buffs more interested in meat over glitz.

here a school zone is 20mph but only when the lights are flashing otherwise
its the standarded 30mph for residential areas
the school lights are only flashing when school is starting in the morning
or letting out later in the day..they would never be on when school is out
of session.

the number of times I've seen people speeding in these zones is enough for
me to plead with people don't assume anything, regardless of the day.
Please, don't speed again.

cheers

Same here. Some years ago I got a ticket for "speeding" at 66Km/h in an area
where the speed limit was 60Km/h

The Italian law "tolerates" +5Km/h, but no more - and with all the new
"radar" stuff etc. they claim to get exact data.

Of course it is sporadically found that they cheat: fudged sensors, traffic
lights calibrated so that yellow and red are so close that you cannot avoid
to find yourself in the middle of the crossing with the red light (there was
a big scandal in Milan some months ago) etc.

Nothing new under the sun.

Ah, no, there *is* something new: they are now so dependent from "radars",
"cameras" and "remote sensors" that finding actual boots on the street is
becoming rarer and rarer. Thus one can find a lot of people breaking the law
(illegal parking, speeding, whatever) in know unsurveilled areas with not a
single officer in sight.

Ironically, I remember when I drove from Baltimora to New York, back in the
'90s. I was stopped two times by the cops because I was going *too slow* (it
was the first time for me behind a wheel in the USA, so I was being very
prudent). They reasoning: "If this guy is going so slow in an area where he
can speed, he surely has something to hide". A cop actually warned me to
"speed up".

Ridiculous. That's less than 4 MPH. No cop in the USA would write a
ticket for three over (absent some other condition, of course). He'd be
laughed outta the profession.

US cops generally allow 10 MPH over on highways and (especially)
interstates, and a little less than that on streets. On the interstate,
I generally tool along at 72 MPH. In a 25 zone, about 30 is perfectly
safe. And that's MPH, of course.

Here's a little Holiday Joy for those who detest traffic cameras:

Yep. Cops are highly suspicious of anyone rigidly adhering to traffic
rules. And driving slowly is a classic DWI telltale.
