| After installing acceleration pack on my system, when I try to access my menu
in Flight Simulator X, while in flight, it locks my system and I end up hard
booting. Before I put acceleration pack in I was able to get to the menu in
flight. I installed everything from a clean hard dirve. I have all the
updated drivers and SP3 for XP Pro. What can I do to get the menu to work
again in flight?

Try different video drivers or switch to windowed mode (alt enter) before
accessing menu.

Vic,
Thank you for the advise but when I tried to get into windowed mode a error
came up and I sent it to Microsoft. It had to restart the game again. I
tried again and it did the same thing. I think with all the service packs
for XP and acceleration pack it does not like eachother. Not sure what to do
now. It also does not hold my settings. I have to go back in and set them
all again. I have the updated video drivers for my GF 7900GS 450M. I have
two of them linked. I never had problems till service packs and acceleration
was installed. My Flight sim 2009 runs great but always having problems with
Flight Sim X.

I'd still try a different video driver first and also try deleting the
FSX.CFG file and letting FSX recreate it - then see if ALT Enter generates
an error. If it does, I'd try uninstalling Acceleration/SP2, doing a repair
install of FSX and then reinstalling Acceleration/SP2.
