The computer was setup with Windows Xp Pro SP3 with hardware all the same. Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries freezes up when creating a pilot. As soon as I mouse over one of the faction names it freezes I have DirectX® 9c dxdiag said no errors. I have a ATI Radeon 9000 and the onboard Via Audio. What can I do? Other information about my computer is: a USB wired mouse, a USB wirerless keyboard, Sailtek USB joystick, 2GB DDR RAM, 2.4GHZ Intel P4 CPU, Belkin wieless adpter, Memorex DVR RW drive, and a Asus 52x CD drive.
