Hi,
Koios, the guys behind the Tin Soldiers series and the Panzer Command
games is defunct, as can be gathered from this post by Erik Rutins :
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=2283830
There is a community effort underway which will be putting out a new
patch/update, but I think it's curtains for that West Front game which
was planned.
This also means Battlefront can start to breath a bit more easily with
regard to their upcoming Normandy game as there's no more competition
in sight in the 3D tactical wargame genre.

"We at Matrix are working on the update together with community volunteers
and a new developer who will be continuing the series."
It seems that, somehow, Matrix found a replacement. I wonder what happened
to Koios, however. |

That is indeed the key quote. The series is continuing with a new
developer. Eddy's comments about the upcoming game being cancelled
and so on are not based on any info we provided. Those plans are
indeed active and going forward. We are trying to wrap up this coming
"mega update" for Panzer Command Kharkov first though and that has
also served as a good way for the new developer to get up to speed.

- Erik |

My bad then, I assumed the new guy was just cont(r)acted for the
upcoming patch.

So, the "Western Front" game is still on - good news - I do like the
Panzer Command games apart from the double-phase thing which is
sometimes aggravating.

I've bought all of Koios games and they have all been very, very good.
I can't believe they are no more.
Presumably this was due to financial pressures rather than the team wanting
to move off in different directions?
A very sad day indeed.

Did a few games, then did their sums? Interesting that their demise managed
to stay (semi) secret this long.
I wonder who the new guys are.

Hey Eddy,
I am not smiling on their demise but on one more yet half brained assumption
gone dead.
Do you remember how you proclaimed that these guys will get Battlefront on
their toes? LOL
And, what happened?
I just writte to demonstrate your half assed logical attempts and situations
when your idiotics assumption never take place in real world. So much on
your "Mario stuff".
I like when you jump into your own mouth
So long Munchausen from Bruege ))
