I'm from italy.
I'd like to buy JA2 having played with an old version of a my friend.
I've seen JA2 Wildire on the shleves, but here I read it is buggy and
that there is an updated JA2 6.0 that will not be translated in english
and will not be released in Italy.
Apart this there is JA2 Gold around too.
It seems that the project has gone through a lot of publishers and
software developers.
Could you help me to clean up this mess?
What is the best and less buggy version?

Buy JA2 Gold, it has the original game and the official sequel.
Wildfire is not worth the money.

The first time I checked, the JA2 Wildfire was bundled with the JA2 Gold
content. While this might have changed, there's probably those kind of
boxes floating around somewhere.

It is if you call JA2 + JA2:UB "easy".

Wildfire is aimed towards the hardcare fans of JA. These fans are generally
the first to discover the way to finish the game early by exploiting
whatever tactics they can.

Night missions for example, although JA2:UB fixed this. Wildfire
just made enemies way too uber from the get go and made sure your
mercs were out gunned.

I couldn't get past the first town in Wildfire without losing
mercs.
