Ok , i will try and play Ivan as white and see what happens ..We will
know in the first few moves if we can do it..
Pawn E-7 to E-5 ....
That would be E-2 to E-4 for you BUT i do not think it will work
because the queens are on the opposite side ......
I have played like this before vs Fritz but the guy playing Fritz knew
how to do it and i did not have to do anything but tell him my moves..
Ivan lost as black and white vs Fritz....
Ivan thinks your queen will be on E-I ....
This is the one major thing that bugs me about Excalibur chess computers
..Id like to upgrade to the Grand Master 2,200 ELO one but if it plays
white from the 7th and 8th rank , that has kind of stopped me from
getting it ....I do not know if it plays this way but i assume it does
since Ivan does......
If you do not think it will work then go a head and make GC's white
move and i will make ivan Black..... |

Instead of saying E7-E5 Just tell me e2-e4 And that will work.
Or better Convert after the move is played.
I am Playing IVAN (1-2 min / move) with GetClub Easy Level
IVAN: White
GetClub: Black
1. e4 e5
White played its King Pawn, GetClub played e5 in response to your e4.
Just play the move and convert into normal form Just like you
converted e7-e5 to e2-e4 and I will understand whats the correct move.
Bye

Your move must be E-2 to E-4 ..You have E-4 to E-5 ..
Ivans move is F-7 to F-5
So our set up is
Ivan pawns on E-5 and F-5
GC pawn on E-4 ...
GC move..
I am not sure of the name of this opining but ivan is giving a pawn away

You not giving me your right moves so i assume you mean F-2 to F-4 ?
Iavans move pawn E-5 x F-4 pawn..
I do not think this game will work unless you can figure out what to
move ..
I am not sure how the guy did it when i played his FRITZ , but he just
gave me the right moves ..
Let me know if you want to stop before we get to far into this game.. |

Yes its very confusing I played a wrong move. I played fxe4 instead So
looks like we do not understand what the real moves are.
Let GetClub play as Whit and IVAN as Black. Then the game can be
finished easily.

I understand what movie Ivan is making because that is how it plays
white ..
I think i will hold off playing for awhile because i am tired of
playing black all the time ..That is the major flaw of Excalibur games
..Id like to upgrade to Gran Master but if it plays white from the 7th
and 8th ranks i probably never will get it....I would call them and ask
before i spend any money ....
So lets cancel this game and we will play again in the near future
.......
+ i kinda feel like playing it , i do not have any friends who play
chess , well i have one but he has not played in 4 or 5 years .....
Maybe in a few weeks we will play again....
got to get ready for work , i do not feel like working but i have
too......by by |

WTF? Can't your Program just turn the visible board around without
fiddling with the square names?
> Ivan thinks your queen will be on E-I ....
And what happened to the 1-key of you keyboard?

No that is the major thing i do not like about Excalibur games ...They
play white from the 7th and 8th rank and there is no way around it.
I have played a guy who had Fritz and he could figure it out so we
played and Ivan lost as black and white..
My number one key is be lost for a long time and i just have never
bought another key board.
This one is worn out too...
Sometimes i just think about buying a real computer.. |
