This game showed the weakness that all dedicated chess computers seem to
have - inability to close out game when materially positive.
Black, after toiling hard, threw away it's deserved victory, only for
white to be unable to take advantage of it's lead in material.
See for yourself...

| Related Topics: | New Ivan vs GC game,Ivan is white for the first time. - Ivans move is D-2 to D-4 .. This will be a good game , lets see what ivan can do as white and what GC can do as black. We should play the next two games and let Ivan be white , i just want to get a feel for how it plays white since 99 % of the time...
New Game , Ivan vs GC , Ivan as white , GC black - D-2 to D-4 pawn move .. i tried to make it open different but it would not .
IVAN vs FRITZ Playing now - Ivan= white ....fritz=black... Fritz has beaten Ivan as black and white so now Fritz is set up to move in 5 seconds and it is set to play like GM Gerry Kasporove .. Ivan only can play white from the 7th and 8th rank..Here is the set up now.... ..
Ivan as White vs GC - Ok , i will try and play Ivan as white and see what happens ..We will know in the first few moves if we can do it.. Pawn E-7 to E-5 .... That would be E-2 to E-4 for you BUT i do not think it will work because the queens are on the opposite side..
Helpbot how come you do not want to play my Ivan ? - Just wondering .... You have seen it play GC and lose .. I bet everyone on this board would like to watch you play it ...... |
