That's what their next new game is (can't remember the name ATM), so
they'd probably be wanting to keep all of that back for it. From the
looks of the 4.09m ReadMe, all of the new stuff is relevant to the
existing campaigns.
Interesting that there's quite a few Italian types (shame the Reggiane
Re 2000 isn't flyable) and I'll probably play about with the
ski-fitted Polikarpov I-16s when I get bored with smashing my Yak-1B
into a million bits on landing in my Normandie-Niemen save.

They often show up in the Russian campaigns as AI, either as
Soviet-piloted Lend-Lease jobs or in the Berlin endgame piloted by
Americans or British - you'll hear the radio chatter and, if you've
enabled external views in your difficulty settings, you can watch
them.
On 4.08m, I've encountered Russian P47s in my Finnish career, and am
fairly sure I've seen American P51s on my Russian Leningrad Fighter
career on the Berlin map.
I haven't looked at all of the campaigns in 4.08m, so can't really
comment on exactly where or if all of them show up in them as actually
flyable.

At some point they need to be paid, and the way to do that is bring
out a new game...

I really should get round to installing and playing F4AF. TBH, I'm a
little afraid of it and am spending a lot of time on '46.
