Can someone please tell me how to ride the horse. I can mount but no
mater how hard I try to make it turn to face the way I want to make it
go it simply walks straight ahead until it impacts with a wall, fence
or tree.
If I use the Fast Travel method, even though I've left the horse at
some stable and walked to another location the horse magically appears
at the new location.
Weird!

When you are on the horse:
W - forward
A - left
D - right
S - back
I think you can also use the arrow keys but since I am right handed the
mouse is in that hand and the left hand is on the keyboard. The toggle
used for running also makes the horse gallop.

Something about I am confused too. Two years ago, playing Oblivion for
the first time, I parked my horse somewhere in the wilderness (I don't
like horses <g>). And there the horse stayed forever. Sometimes I
returned to the horse to raise my destruction level with weak fireballs
on him..
Now playing Oblivion for the second time, slow travel without the horse
or fast travel, when entering a city the horse is stalled outside the
gate automatically.

Line the cross hairs up between and above the horse's ears. Put your
right/mouse hand in your pocket to keep it from affecting things. Use
the awsd keys to guide the horse, toggling shift to gallop or waddle
slowly. Once you get the hang of moving, you can take your mouse hand
out of your pocket and use it to look around different directions
while you move with awsd. Whenever the two get confusing, line the
cross hairs back up over the horse's ears and take your hand off the
mouse. |
