Hi again. (Two posts in one day!)
I came across this site that may be useful for UK simmers.
Hover over your local area and the site gives you recently updated
weather information downloaded from regional sites, weather buoys and
certain local airports.
Hopefully there will be a site close to your locale.
Info includes :- Wind Speed, Direction, Temperature, Dew Point,
Altimeter Setting ,Visibility along with cloud layers.
Hopefully enough information can be gleaned to set up a "real life"
situation so you can fly under local conditions.
Apologies if this site has been posted before,
http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
Regards,
Pete.

For Oz members there's a nice little application that you can use to keep
track of weather in your area.
Go to http://www.birdcagesoft.com.au/ and download the weather software.
cheers

I find this one very good for Oz:
http://www.weatherzone.com.au/
Juts type your postcode into the searchbox
("Find weather for" upper/left of page),
hit the arrow button, and BINGO!
