"Good news for fans of PC games as well as the Xbox 360 wireless
controller, as Microsoft today announced that they will release a Xbox
360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows late December. With this USB
2.0 plug, which will carry an MSRP of $19.99, you can use Xbox 360
wireless accessories such as the Xbox 360 wireless controller or
wireless headset (more on that in tonight's LNC)."

That will save me buying a wired 360 pad for my PC Smile

Well, my wired 360 Controller for Windows (purchased @ $39.99 6 months
ago) was a lot less expensive than your Xbox360, wireless controller
and receiver. Got your money's worth out of your Xbox360 yet ? The
hardware is beginning to grow bristles.

I've had a wireless Logitech pad for like 2 years that is just like a
console pad. Whats the big deal?

I'm still waiting for a dongle that I can use my 360 pad(wired) for Windows
to be connected to my original Xbox system. Man, those white ones are just
much better than the black ones! grrrr

Tim O <timo56.RemoveThis@hotmail.com> once tried to test me with:

Well for one thing the Xbox 360 controllers have analog left and right
triggers, so if any games start using those (in an actual analog way), your
Logitech pad might become outdated.

I have a Logitech Wingman Cordless which would be in the same boat. But
realistically, there's not many applications for analog triggers than can't
be done "good enough" with digital shoulder buttons.

Still, I might consider getting one of these at some point in the future,
to use with my 360 controllers.

So have I, the 360 pad is a lot better, especially due to analogue
controls.

I never had an Xbox, I couldn't stand that controller!
