Who's got a gaming diary they update, then?

I've subscribed to deKay's and Sir Gubbins's's' - RSS is great - but
has anyone else got one?

Gruuugh. I'd have one, except I'd be too drunk on cheap Aldi cider to
update it and most of the entries would be like this:

"*bleep*in dog can't catch the *bleep*ing frisbee the *bleep*er despite
getting 4,000,000 points in the earlier stage when it comes to uber-ultra
class it can't catch the *bleep*ing thing. Everyone in the office stares
at me because I spend my lunch time shouting my dog's name while stuffing
my face with cheap aldi rip-offs of choco liebniz biscuits."

How does this RSS malarkey work then? I've just started a gaming diary
(no posts yet), separate from my dull-and-infrequently-updated blog and
my dull-and-infrequently-updated Deadjournal.

Me, in my sig. I update it whenever I get chance to play a game, which right
now is never, and as of next week will be lots.

I don't think I actually *play* enough in the way of games these days
for it to be worthwhile. It'd basically end up being an entry every
Sunday for having played 5 hours of <insert recent RPG here> and little
else.

So it would just be exactly the same as deKay's then?

I like having one because it means I can write stuff nobody's
interested in without feeling guilty (or worrying about spoilers too
much).

Those biscuits rock. Aldi do good biscuits.

Well, the URL for my RSS feed is -

feed://www.mysecretshame.co.uk/games/atom.xml

Yours is something similar. Safari finds them automatically and you just
have to press the RSS button in the address bar to go that page and then
you can bookmark that page. I put it in an RSS folder and then can
choose the 'View All RSS Articles' in the list to show articles from all
my feeds.

Or you can put the URL into any RSS reader of your choice. I use
Thunderbird on Windows machines. But there are actually dedicated RSS
readers some people swear by.

OK. I've bookmarked the feeds of all the sites I have (Zomoniac, Choobs,
you, me, deKay). I'll have a look for a Firefox extension, there are
quite a few but I've not known what to do with them before.

I also use Blogger.com for my gaming diary, but have set it to put the
files on my own web space instead of using Blogger's own space.

I generally use NetNewsWire Lite. It's free and is specifically designed
for reading RSS feeds - it's a bit more convenient than Safari. Also, if
you click on the blue RSS thing in the safari address bar, it'll pop up
NetNewsWire and ask if you want to subscrib0r.

Dunno what 'doze users use, though.

I have an install of moveabe type. I'd really like to use blogger
instead, cos I like the idea of it being kept somewhere safe and then
published out - makes it very easy to change web host.

Trouble is, blogger

(a) has so-so image support.
(b) has no way of importing the seven years of content I have Smile
