Hi
I'm planning to get rid of the 360 and purchase a PS3 instead. What if
you've played GTA IV through the end. Is there anything in the PS3
version which might warrant a purchase? Or is it the very same game with
just minor visual differences?

yep, like you said, same game with minor visual differences. Seeing as my
Live account had expired it was nice to have free access to multiplayer on
the PS3  |

Unfortunately with the PS3 online play, you usually get what you pay

Far superior in which respect? Is it technically more advanced or do the
players behave better than on the free PS3 online play service? |

Look at the reviews for the recently released Socom, it was unplayable
for days after release, so much so, a lot of players gave up with it.
The same happened at the launch of Little Big Planet. XBLive isn't
perfect, but Microsoft know a lot more than Sony about running
servers.

Hmmm I've played on both & the PS3 GTA IV worked fine. In fact it'd almost
a blessing that fewer people use mics on PSN as it cuts down on the idiot
factor quite a bit. |
