Bisquik,
Thanks for coming on. You're just the type of player we want on our
server(s). Since the IWZ FH Server went online, we've had a total of
(2) problems with people, both of whom thought it was just fine and
dandy to do/say whatever they please, whenever they please. We warned
these people numerous times, as you mentioned in your other post,
without regard. So, we banned them. Simple. No more problems for the
rest of the evening.
As for your comment about micro-management in the other post, that's
been ironed out during the years of the IWZ servers being online (2).
There's a thread in our Admin forum that specifically states, do not
over-admin, let the server manager do it's job.
We had a server-high number of players tonight with 32 people on at
one time. Excellent. Not bad for going "officially online" Monday,
July 25, 2005. We hope to fill the server up (64 players) within the
next week and a half. We're currently estimating our server could
actually handle 128 players without lag. We're seeing an 11% peak CPU
use @ the 24 player level with an average of around 4% CPU use. As for
memory, the BF server hardly touches it and the server is in a very
large NOC with I believe 8 backbones coming into it.
Folks seem to enjoy it and we love having good personalities and good
players on board as well as folks new to the Mod.
