Given the amount of rust stains, it must be getting ready for
either refit or scrappers.

Sad to see her like that. Is there a move anywhere to make it
into a museum?

You should see the stuff the 'What-if SIG' has come up with. Meanwhile:

Can't say better than the quote: "The scrapping of the Arrow was either
an act of inspired malevolence or criminal stupidity."

Chopping up the airworthy aircraft for the $4000 worth of scrap metal is
one thing, and barely justifiable, but destroying all film, photos,
plans, in fact trying to pretend the Arrow never existed - what the hell
is that all about? "Stalinisation" one commentator called it. We in the
Western world are no different from the evil
commies/nazis/papists/visigoths/whoever is current enemy of the month.

yep. And the missiles are Hawker-Siddeley SRAAM-100 (a '70s project to
replace the then-current British IR missiles with something better than
the Sidewinder).
