Though I cannot even fathom how bad this is going to look, at one point
I downloaded around 600 manuals from some site back in the day. MUSHA is
one of them. All of them are in HTML, so if you want the original
copy(if what I'm about to paste comes out unreadable) just email me:

HOW TO PLAY THE SEGA GENESIS ® GAME
"M.U.S.H.A. METALLIC UNIFRAME SUPER HYBRID ARMOR TM"
While viewing the DEMONSTRATION SCREEN press the START BUTTON on
CONTROLLER 1 to raise the TITLE SCREEN. Use the control pad to move the
flashing cursor next to OPTIONS and press the START BUTTON to raise the
OPTIONS SCREEN. Use the control pad and the C BUTTON to sample MUSIC
from the game. Use the control pad to highlight GAME LEVEL and select a
level of gameplay, (EASY, NORMAL, or HARD). Use the control pad and any
button to sample SOUND effects from the game. Once you are finished use
the control pad to highlight EXIT and press the START BUTTON twice to
return to the TITLE SCREEN. Use the control pad to move the flashing
cursor next to GAME START and press the START BUTTON to begin gameplay.
USING THE CONTROLLER
START BUTTON- Pause during gameplay
A BUTTON- Select FREE, FORWARD, 3-WAY, BACK, REVERSE, or ROLL from
weapons mode
B BUTTON- Fire accessory weapon (see PLAYING THE GAME)
C BUTTON- Fire weapon
CONTROL PAD +
Press Right- Fly to the right
Press Left- Fly to the left
Press Up- Fly forward (toward the top of the screen)
Press Down- Fly down (toward the bottom of the screen)
PLAYING THE GAME
A status display is exhibited across the top of the action screen
showing the score, the ARM LEVEL, a weapons mode, a weapons power
display (ship), and the number of lives remaining. You begin the game
with three lives and get bonus lives for high scoring, (you get your
first bonus life at 100,000). You must blast your way through seven
stages of all out intergalactic warfare. Press the A BUTTON to change
your weapons mode and alternate between FREE (support drones will break
off from your fighter and independently engage the enemy), FORWARD,
3-WAY (three way triangulated forward fire), BACK (fire forward and
backwards), REVERSE (fires weapons in the direction opposite to that in
which you are pressing the control pad), or ROLL (droid support craft
will orbit your fighter). A power up craft bearing the number 2 and
power up spheres will appear from time to time. Hit the craft with
weapons fire and it will drop a payload of power up canisters,
(canisters are designated by the number 2). Catch the canisters as they
drop toward the bottom of the screen to power up your weapons, (increase
the strength of your weapon). Hit sphere-like objects with weapons fire
and they will launch a plane. Collect a blue sphere-like object and your
fighter will be shielded by an orbiting ball of brilliant energy.
Collect a green sphere-like object and your fighter will be armed with a
laser beam, (accessory weapon). Collect a red sphere-like object and you
will be armed with multi-directional bombs, (accessory weapon). Press
the B BUTTON to use accessory weapons against the enemy. At the end of
each stage you must battle, and defeat, a powerful adversary in order to
advance in the game. If you get hit by enemy fire, or collide with an
enemy or solid object you will be injured or lose a life. When all your
lives are gone you may CONTINUE gameplay from the beginning of the last
stage attempted.

That's odd, you'd think they'd be relatively cheap.

Though the game(SFA) bores me to death, I will tell you it's MUCH better
than the SNES version. This one uses a higher polygon count for the
ships and just runs smoother.

Solid.

It can be hard at first just due to the fact that you can move for a
LONG time in virtually every direction. It's hard to figure out where
you need to go at times, and the AI mowing you down constantly doesn't
help. Wink

> Tempo is *ADORABLE*.

Isn't it? How about that intro song?

> And Black
> Thorne looks to be awesome. I can't wait to spend more time with it.

It's definitely pretty in that Out of this World/Flashback style, but
with quite a bit more detail than those two.

> Doesn't the 32x have an ON/OFF switch or something. How do you know
> when it is safe to unplug the ac adapter?

As KKC mentions, you don't ever have to worry about powering the 32X. If
you're just playing Genesis games in it, it acts as a pass through
device(which again, for MD games with no region coding, they fit
perfectly...maybe a little tight) and when you turn on the SCD, even if
you have a Memory Cart, the 32X just passes that through as well.

I'll be interested to see how that new Genesis RPG that comes with a
cart and CD soundtrack works out with the 32X unit...

It's the spacer for the Genesis 2/CDX/X'eye units. Hold on to it just in
case. Another odd piece that you may or may not have is the "ender".
You're supposed to put it on your Genesis, where the SCD connects(if you
don't have one), but I've always had a SCD, so I've never used it. If
you run in to any problems, you may try it out.

Not much of a sports guy, sadly, but if you're just looking to get rid
of them I'd send you whatever it takes to just ship them to me. If not,
you could always try to trade them in at the Flea Market(who knows). Smile

....especially with the SCD1 unit. The SCD2 unit does *much* better with
copies.

Hey, speaking of the Amiga, I downloaded the Amiga emulator for the
xbox emulator a few weeks ago.
I found a game called "the settlers." It's adorable. It's just so
hard to get it running. I got it working once. Haven't been able to
get it working again since then. Need to find somebody who knows a
little bit about how the amiga systems worked. You should definitely
check it out.

Which emulator did you download? I'm having trouble with Xbox
emulator. It's so tough to get the games to load.

If I actually had any N64 boxes or manuals I'd shoot them your way, but
I have not been able to find a *single* N64 game that has come with either.

It's possible it hit the PS Network as well...maybe if you get that PS3
you could try it out.

Oddly enough, I downloaded an Amiga emulator and all its roms the other
day as well, for the PC. It's pretty wild. I've always wanted to see the
Amiga as I've heard that a lot of Genesis games were ported from it.
It's wild to see some of the same games, like Alien 3 and whatnot.

I think that's the same emulator on the xbox. Yeah, it is so tough to
get the games to load. I'm having a lot of trouble with this,
unfortunately.

It's a PC emu, but it's called "WinUAE". It's a little tough to use at
first, because you have to sit there and load all the disc images before
you start the game. Why the emu can't just figure it out is beyond me.

I used this:

WinUAE Help file
http://www.pcguru.plus.com/uae_faq.html

It got me to the point where I could get stuff running. Sadly, they
don't just include it with the emu...

Yeah... the Amiga was jammed full of proprietary stuff which appears to have
made it tricky to emulate. Certainly the emulators are full of obscure
settings.

I do all my Amiga playing on an amiga Smile

If I had one, I would too. Let me ask you this though: Does the Amiga CD
unit play regular Amiga games, or is that something you have to have a
disk-based Amiga to do?

I'm pretty sure it only does CD games.
