After 16 years of analog only C & Ku, I've installed a
DSR-922, and I have a couple of questions:

1) I haven't yet purchased any digital programming, but I'm
receiving a few subscription channels, such as BBC America
on C3-700; NW News, Discovery W, Travel, Animal Planet, &
TLCW on C4; and a Southeast Regional Sports Channel on GB.
Are these normally free or is this a limited time situation?
Or could the receiver (previously owned) have been
authorized for these before I bought it?

2) What is the intended audience for the many DCII
channels? Surely not the relatively small number of BUD
owners that are left. Are these feeds redistributed by
cable and small dish much as the VCII analog channels are
(or were.)

Thanks,
Paul in Northwest Florida

Most in that list would be subscription channels. NW News is in the clear

Take care,
