Looks like it to me...

Tactical tweaking and surprises during the match seem to be more important.
Just as Teamtalk does...

it does seem harder, and apparently uses a lot of the same match
engine code as FML, but i can't confirm that 100%, just what i've
heard.

if that's true then playing 451 should net you a few points.

I haven't played either FML or FM2008 (I skipped that one and went
straight from 07 to 09), but I have found that variants of one up
front (either 4-4-1-1, 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1) tend to be the most
reliable in FM2009. Playing two strikers together doesn't seem to
work, except against much weaker teams. At least, that's true in the
Premiership, I haven't tried an LLM game yet.

In this respect, it seems to be pretty realistic. There's an article
on The Guardian website which looks at the way that the standard 4-4-2
has generally been replaced by a system with a single target man up
front and a fluid five-man midfield capable of operating in a variety
of formations.

Well I got FM2009 for Xmas, so will be loading it up in the New Year!

Managed to pick up some bargains at Woolworths for my PS2 though - Tiger
Woods PGA Tour 2009 down from £39.95 to £12.99 with all the various
discount!

Reminds me of an article in a footie-mag. Some bloke stated that the 4-6-0
formation will be the future. No strikers. Only midfielders steaming up
towards the goal.

Graham Taylor was talking about this whilst doing the commentary on the
Fulham v Chelsea game on Radio 5 yesterday. Mainly in response to being
asked whether Chelsea could prosper with both Anelka and Drogba upfront!

have a pleasant evening and find themselves easily beaten Very Happy

Oh Mr. Goodge my dear dear friend...

I switched to 1 striker up front now, and the effect is amazing.

I still loose as a bankrupt LlaMa, but with one striker less I do get
dangerous indeed, and now and then get a draw.

SI Should have named this in their manual.

It may be realistic, but the downside is that I always loved to find three
adamant strikers at age 17 and nurture them to play... now I must play with
one Sad
