Apparently this title is now popping up in online stores. Some say it
may be a Nintendo DS title, as there was some sort of nintendo DS poll
as to what game one might like to see on that format, and apartments
were the highest voted.
However... the release date of september made me break out the Windows
calendar.
Sure enough... EXACTLY 6 months from the release of Freetime... which
has me thinking, and hoping, and praying to Bill Gates and Will
Wright, that it might be the next Sims 2 EP.
If so... my dream has finally come true for The Sims 2 |

I think this is only for DS though (I might buy it all the same if it's
actually any good - DS Sims games have been seriously lacking in the past).
If there is a PC version, and it does allow for proper apartments (with
autonomous residents living in the other apartments), then I'll definitely
be interested in that!
Throw in the option of a proper Bodyshop where it's possible to actually mix
and match shoes with clothes like the console games, and I won't even have
to bother with The Sims 3. Damn! I'm starting to sound like a woman now...

It's the shoes. You care about footwear.

Will Wright? I thought he was out of the Sims business. Guess I need to do a
google? |

I don't know, I'm still holding onto the hope that the timing means it
might be an EP... |

Last heard of he was working on that planet/civilisation simulator ... umm
..... oh yeah, Spore. I wonder what's happening with that - it was supposed
to be released by now.
Best wishes

I knew he was working on Spore but didn't know he was working on Sims 3. |

Will Wright has enough clout at EA now to say "It's done when it's
done" lol. |

Lol!
Actually, I'm pretty much the opposite - I'm very much a one-pair kind of
bloke
However, nothing annoys me more in TS2 that seeing a really good outfit
ruined by 10" heels, or in the case of male sims - Sandals...

I'd imagine that there wouldn't really be much involved in making workable
apartments part of the game - University had dorms with NPCs controlled by
dorm doors, so I would've thought a similar thing could be done with
apartments.

Well, apparently there is one more EP in the works (not including those
useless Stuff packs), so hopefully it might be something apartment-related.
Having said that, a lot of people seem to want a Makin' Magic-style
expansion pack too...

Perhaps. But the building aspect, mechanics etc. would be interesting.
I'm guessing they would make it significantly more elaborate than
that, with new ways of meeting and befriending people etc.

Magic just doesn't go with the overall theme of the game IMO, although
I enjoyed Makin' Magic... EA did say that it would be something fan
requested, so... could mean just about anything. |

Hehe, if I was, then I'd also be implying that Bill Gates was working
on it, but AFAIK he also has nothing to do with EA |
