Hi, I ordered a couple of the Boogie Men from Marco's site. But they
aren't like the current ones in my EATPM. These are smaller and
stiffer. Marco's part number is: 23-6639. While the colors are nice
and bright, I still prefer the originals.

Anybody have a source for something a bit more like the originals?

Thanks! Smile

While doing a bit more searching I've found a number of places online
that sell them but I'm not sure if they'll fit or not. Such as:
http://www.mcphee.com/bigindex/current/09181.html
Price is mucho better than Marco's as you get 12 for $7. But the
question remains whether they're similar. The dimensions seem right.
But I'm not near my EATPM at the moment to verify....

I think Dave had some at FAO. You might ask him. He'll tell you
straight up if they're the old floppy style or not.

Sorry Scot, wrong ones, probably like the ones he already got. I don't
think the Elvira ones are all that scarce, just a question of tracking
them down....

Thanks everyone! Smile

There is a local toy store here called Creative Kidstuff. I called
them and they said they had some really rubbery monster finger puppets
that are about 2" tall. Gonna swing by tonight and check them out.

If I'm happy with them, would any of you be interested in any? I'd
just ask that you cover my cost + shipping.

Check out this site:

http://www.funforalltoys.com/products/party_favors/finger_frights/fing...frights

These match the boogie men on the SS flyer and match the ones in your
picture. Their are about 5-6 varieties so you may want to order a dozen or
so.

The ones in the picture are correct. However, I ordered a bunch from
Archie McPhee in the past year and found that they had changed the
design, but never updated the pics on the website. What you'll get
doesn't even remotely resemble those in the photo. I ended up
returning them, and paying for return shipping. Sad

If you want to try it anyway, Email them first and get someone to
verify that these are indeed what you will be getting. If you do, let
us know. Smile

Original boogeymen are not "bright" in color and more "rubbery". I have
never seen the original ones for sale anywhere. If someone else has, please
let us know where to get them. Here is a pic of the original ones:

http://www.pc-monitor.com/users/skeets/elvira_6.html

Here is another link for someone selling boogeymen, these look like they
might be glow in the dark though.

Ok, I picked up 6 extra boogiemen as I thought they were very similar
to the ones currently in my machine. You can go here and look at a pic
I took.
http://robertk2552.home.mchsi.com/boogiemen.jpg
The boogieman on the far right is from my machine. These guys are
quite flexible and their arms jiggle a lot.
I paid .69 for each one plus tax (6.5%). I'll offer to ship a set for
what I paid for it plus the 3.85 priority mail. (Sorry, but it's
actually easier for me to send it that way.) You can pick out which
ones you want from the pic.

They have more, quite a bit more actually. Their website is
www.creativekidstuff.com but I don't think they were listed on the
site. I think it is kind of a "in the store type deal." Not sure but
maybe they will ship from the store?

No problem.

Store is Creative Kidstuff in Edina, MN. Their number is 952/926-4512.

Looking at my receipt I see the description as: F-MONSTER FINGER
PUPPETS
Two numbers read 577205 & 2700341 (I'm thinking one of them is the sku
and the other a detail line #?)
When I checked out they had to look up the price/sku in a book as it
isn't on the little rubber dudes.

I went back today and they must've refilled the bin as there were about
a hundred of them in there..... either that or they're breeding..... :O

You know you're right. I took a closer look and the originals are
translucent unlike the new ones. I personally like the brighter colors
myself. If you look at the pic I took of them you can see the far
right monster matches the 3rd from the right. But the new ones have an
extra splash of paint on them as well (nostrils).

Also, not sure if you looked. They have the same part numbers inside
their mouths if you have a matching pair old and new. Either the
rubber formula changed and/or somebody bought the molds?

Thanks for researching these. They appear to be the same type. The
colors may be a bit brighter ... or the ones in the game could just
have gotten dirty. Smile

I don't suppose there is an item or SKU number?

Actually, those are the same as the ones from McPhee, which are
different than the originals on EATPM.

The style may be similar, but the rubber is completely different. The
originals on EATPM were a semi-translucent, darker color rubber. The
new ones are opaque and brighter.

I actually changed the originals on my EATPM to the new style since my
SS is sitting right next to it and it ties them together nicely.
