Has anyone heard about Joss Whedon's upcoming TV series 'The DollHouse'? It
sounds like a great gaming setting.
In Dollhouse, Eliza Dushku plays a young woman named Echo, a member of a
group of people known as "Actives" or "Dolls." The Dolls have had their
personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new
personas, including memory, muscle memory, skills, and language, for
different assignments. They're then hired out for particular jobs, crimes,
fantasies, and occasional good deeds. On missions, Actives are monitored
internally (and remotely) by Handlers. In between tasks, they are mind-wiped
into a child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/laboratory, a
hidden facility nicknamed "The Dollhouse". The story follows Echo, who
begins, in her mind-wiped state, to become self-aware.
This setting would be particularly good for new gamers, as it allows them to
try a variety of character types in one setting. |

I head of it, I jus didnt know what it was about, that sounds
interesting as a show, but it sounds like an awesome way to kick off a
campaign, no matter the setting (you could wipe someones mind and
implant new skills memories with magic as easily as technology)
Maybe the PCs are "defective" in some way and begin to retain bits of
past memories, or maybe theyre part of the first batch and have
developed a tolerance to the mindwipes over time or something. Have
to play with that idea some
