DirectX

I have installed a game and it tells me that my system does not support
DirectX8.1. I operate with XP 2002. I thought I had DirectX9. What do I
need to do to get this game to work. The game is relatively new.

Hi solly1228,

Which game are you trying to install? It's possible that the game is
old and was not written in such a way that it can detect future versions
of DirectX installed.

Have you installed Service Pack 2 yet? It will upgrade your DirectX.
