It's a little higher, but not in a good way IMO. YMMV.

Doesn't matter. It's all about the in-game video segments that you can
watch all in a row from the menu like a movie. Get it!

Syberia 2 is best played with a walkthrough. Personally, I
find it stupid to just wander around trying to solve impossible
puzzles when you can follow the walkthrough and enjoy
the game. The whole concept of Adventure Gaming is
just an add-on to get the player to use the mouse to
make the game move along. Otherwise, it would just
be a cartoon to watch. That is nothing but a con. The
coders of such games could instead just use a HUD
display, and let the gamer follow its lead. Brief hints
and objectives could create a built in walkthrough, and
the game would be far better. I like both Syberia and
Syberia 2, but the sequence is moronic.

Like any good novel, I think the success or failure of an adventure game is
it's ability to transport your imagination into other worlds. I think
Syberia succeeds in this nicely. Puzzles should compliment the storyline
and not be obtrusive...or else, it become a 'puzzle' game, and not
adventure.
[I would wager that the average person loathed rubic's cube for example and
did not partcipate in that market when it was in vogue]. Syberia probably
plays to an average market. I know I highly enjoyed it. But puzzles are
not what I come to adventure for.

My opinion as well. *I* want to play Kate Walker. *I* want to use the cell
phone. *I* want to see what she's seeing. *I* want to see the beautiful game
world Sokol put in front of us - and all through Kate's eyes without having
at look at her or move her around.

Granted, Kate is lovely to look at. But if I want to see a lovely woman,
push her around, poke at her with a mouse, well...there *is* real life, you
know.

I guess I like 1st-Person best. Can't help it.

Who? The mouse? Or the lovely woman?

Well, actually...both. I can't get no satisfaction.
