Thanks SS crew for the binaries Smile

Is it possible to only copy the crawl.exe binary from newer versions
into my older 0.1 folder? Or should I just copy my save files to the
new version? Or should I just start new characters as new versions come
out?

Thanks,
Will

Yes. You may also want to copy the lua directory if you use Lua (we
haven't changed any of the scripts from 4.0, but we might in future.)

Would be nice if you would announce these [*] in the change log, so
everybody knows when simply copy them over could be dangerous.

[*] changes in Lua, makefile.foo, AppHdr.h

Also, it would be nice if every new parameter in init.txt was documented
somewhere. It's painful to go through it to see if anything new was
added.

We know. Unfortunately the documentation is somewhat out of date. Even
worse, there are options which have been added - such as Matthew Cline's
note improvements, or even the use_notes option itself - which aren't
documented anywhere in stone_soup. We're working on fixing that. (At
least everything should appear in init.txt by 0.1.3.)
