Been getting problems with the game crashing all the time - even with the
'ATI' option switched on. Until I fix this I can't really get into the game.

My biggest gripe with the CM2 series is the performance and looks of the
terrain engine - especially when compared with their CM1 series.

CM1 maps fly performance wise - even the super big ones are fast. In
addition the whole map is very clear and easy to read into the distance. The
CM2 ones seem to be stutterfests, especially the large ones which are almost
impossible to play on.

To add insult to injury the new maps look really washed out and seem to lose
detail - such as roads fairly close in - the end result is a blurry mess
from the middle distance onward.

For me their maps have taken a big step backward. I'm worried what their
Normandy game is going to look like, as I suspect it will be a blurry mess
like the rest of the CM2 series Sad
