Man, this might make me come back for a month to take another peek:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night we announced some BIG news. City of Heroes subscribers
will pay no additional monthly fee to play City of Villains;.
For City of Heroes players who purchase City of Villains;,
simply add the City of Villains; serial code to your existing

to upgrade their existing City of Heroes account will pay the
full monthly fee (same price structure as City of Heroes).

To ensure delivery to everyone including our international customers,
the primary method of distribution for the City of Heroes comic
book will now be digital. Starting with Issue 7, we will post a
digital copy of the comic book for all City of Heroes and City of
Villains; players to view and/or save.

the newsstand price and will be delivered to your door! Announcements

Wait, if you already own COH, why wouldn't you want to upgrade it?

Normally you would upgrade, but if you didn't you'ld have two seperate
accounts. That would let you play both games at the same time.

This is extremely good news, long overdue. I've been rather unhappy
that they were apparently going to create what would have essentially
been the first MMORPG expansion pack with a monthly fee (not that I'm
playing at this time, but still...) I always considered it a given
that they'd combine the payment for the 2 games somehow, something
like 1 game for $14.95/month, or both for $19.95/month. I guess there
was enough unhappy consumers that they gave up on that idea. Very
good news for gamers, and maybe enough to tempt me into giving CoV a
go...
