On a recent "good to go" commercial for Taco Bell, when the parents say
"You're good to go!!!" and point at all the kids stuff packed in the
corner, you hear the sound of 2600 Pac Man dying.

2600 Pac-Man (and sometimes Donkey Kong) are apparently filed under
"Video Game Sounds" in the stock audio library that everyone uses.
They've been using those same exact sound effects in commercials, TV
shows and movies for over 20 years now. It was a bit anachronistic back
in the 1980s when used in conjunction with a NES or Genesis.. at this
point its just kinda humerous.. but its so common its not really all
that amazing anymore.

the new game system????"

Radio Shack used to use the same sound for thier commercials a long
time ago. I thought it had stopped years ago. Guess I was wrong.
Classic indeed!
