Can anyone refer me to a site that explains the Boeing instrument panels in
detail. I find FS2004 is very lacking when referring to anything other than
the Cessna. There are so many things going on with the HSI and the other
dial on the lower left that I find it hard to keep track of what they are
trying to tell me.

Also, in order to fly directly to a VOR, I should enter it's frequency in
the Nav1 radio, engage autopilot and nav button, right? I could swear I did
that, but the plane did not change direction.

Thanks

follow the thread called localizer.... it is discussing the approach
technique.
In relation to the HSI.... google it! you shoul dfind something.

Failiing that, Just Flights 747-400 Proffesional includes a video which
explains the instrumentation in detail ! (It's worth every cent) They also
tag along on a Cathay flight from Heathrow to Hong Kong (old airport-I
think) and talk you through each of their steps.

Chris

p.s. I agree...... pleanty on the cessna, bugger all on 747's
