I downloaded the demo last night and had a try. I was
not very optimistic but it turned out fantastic.

I played the demo on 1280x1024 with medium settings
without any problems.

My setup

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+, 2.17GHz
Mainboard : nVidia-nForce
Total Memory : 1.5GB DDR-SDRAM
Memory Bus Speed : 2x 133MHz (266MHz data rate)
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT, Driver 6.14.11.6344

Microsoft Windows XP Home 5.01.2600 (Service Pack 2)
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

i have ddr400x2GB ram, n-Force3 mobo, 3500+64 AMD cpu, 6600GT nvidia card. i
run max settings but reflections and AA off and it runs great. water looks
brilliant, but i hate shiny varnished wood surfaces.

i thought i had the best DX9c drivers and i played 3 days with them, but
today steam updated me to the most recent drivers this week.
