I'm putting the finishing touches on a large Inform project, and need a few
good testers. The game has been extensively alpha-tested during development,
but I'm sure there are all sorts of niggly problems that are invisible to me
.... and maybe even one or two big problems. Plus, I'd love to have some
feedback on the larger aspects of the project. Like, are there places where
I've skimped on story development?
The story (I'm declining to call it a game, because it's serious in tone) is
sort of an understated or low-key fantasy horror scenario. There's no
dripping gore, but some pretty creepy stuff does happen. There are a number
of puzzles and seven or eight NPCs, but no mazes.
If you have a few hours (or, preferably, a few evenings) to devote to this
task -- which is largely thankless except for the effusive thanks I'll give
you, plus a credit in the 'about' text of the released game and the undying
gratitude of the people who later play it -- please email me at midiguru23
at-sign sbcglobal dot net.
A word or two in your email would be appreciated about whether you've
authored any IF, roughly how many text games you've played, and anything
else that seems apropos.
Thanks!
