Base salvage

Okay, so base salvage is no more. No prob except that I have about a
thousand items to laboriously convert to Brainstorm tokens and then to rare
invention salvage (easier to store and worth more).

Is there *any* reason to retain base salvage or is there a better use for
it? I notice that the secondary creation thingys (the disc ones, for
creating special buffs and the like) seem to still want it - does this mean
those are obsolete, too, or that something has replaced them?

I am glad to see the salvage system simplified.
