Germane enough to post here, however it basically turns into an
advertisement for Encore's adventure games. Found this snippet of
particular interest:

"This type of story-based game play lends itself towards non-teen;
women based audiences, who have an appreciation for the genre and the
story. Women tend to appreciate the character development, and
interaction along with gripping storylines."

Interesting in that this is the only "csipg" forum I read that has
regular "non-teen women" posting in it. Smile

I had to look up what "cspig" meant. I forgot. I don't read too many game
forums, except this one, or sometimes I check out www.gameboomers.com
forums, and seem to me to be mostly women posters of all ages. Some men post
there too. Their forum is very up to date about the latest adventure games
being released. I don't know any forums of any game genres
which have regular "teen women" posters though lots of teen guys forums. But
I am not a "teen woman" so wouldn't be looking for teen women forums Smile

The article from your link is quite interesting. She mentions Nostradamus
game which I hadn't heard of, and I haven't been at any local computer
stores lately to see if they have any new adventure games. I don't know if I
want to play Dracula 3. I played Dracula Origin, which was OK, but nothing
great, maybe because I was also playing Sherlock Holmes Nemesis, which I
liked much better. Thanks for the link.

Not in this hierarchy, but the Tomb Raider group used to have "non-teen
women" in it. I'm generalizing, but IIRC what they most valued was the
exploration aspect of it. For the early TR games, storylines were
minimal and character development was non-existent.
